Link&Run Links up to 5 network drives and/or runs up to 5 programs similtaniously or one after another. Link&Run can be forced to link the first available drive letter from a specified set, or can link the first available of all drive letters. %L1%, %L2%, etc are used to represent the linked drives. When all programs have ended the network drives are disconnected. If no programs are specified, the network links will not be disconnected.
Virtual paths can be used when specifying Programs (eg. \\Server1\Programs\MyProg.exe)
A Network is not required if Link&Run is used only for running programs.
There is a setup wizard included that prompts you for required network link and program information and then adds an icon to a new or existing group. Run LINK&RUN.EXE and then click the 'Setup Wizard' button to access the setup wizard.
Link&Run is fully compatible with Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11, Windows NT and Windows 95.
Link&Run.exe requires that the Visual Basic run time library exist in the Windows\System directory or the same directory as Link&Run.EXE VBRUN300.DLL it is available free from serveral forums on Compuserve including WINSHARE and MSBASIC.
The syntax is:
Link&Run /R{program} /L{Drives share} /W
/R{Program} Runs the specified program with parameters
/L{Drives share} The first available drive is linked to the specified sharename
/W Waits for one program to finish before starting the next
%L1%, %L2, etc can be used to represent the linked drives.
/L with 1 to 5 drive letters (eg. /Lxyz) links the first available of those.
/L with no drive letters (eg. /L ) will link the first available of all drive letters.

Link&Run was tested on Microsoft Lan Manager and Windows NT networks but should work with most other networks including Novell.
This version of Link&Run does not support sharename passwords.
